Reiki Aftercare

Your Reiki session is only the beginning. The energy continues to flow and integrate for hours, sometimes days, after your appointment. Everyone experiences Reiki differently, but it’s common to notice subtle shifts in your body, mind, and emotions as the healing unfolds.

What You Might Experience

  • A sense of peace, relaxation, or lightness

  • Emotional release such as laughter, tears, or vivid dreams

  • Temporary tiredness or increased energy

  • Tingling, warmth, or gentle sensations in the body

  • Old emotions or patterns surfacing briefly before clearing

All of these are normal. Reiki works by rebalancing your energy system, and your body responds in its own unique way.

Deepening the Experience

  • Take a warm bath with Epsom salts or essential oils.

  • Spend a few minutes outdoors connecting with nature.

  • Meditate, pray, or simply sit in stillness to ground your energy.

  • Pay attention to signs, symbols, or dreams—your healing may show up in many ways.

  • Schedule regular Reiki sessions for continued balance and renewal.

Journal Prompts After Reiki

  • What physical sensations or emotions did I notice during my session?

  • Did any memories, images, or thoughts surface? What might they be showing me?

  • What am I ready to release from my life right now?

  • Where in my body do I feel more open, relaxed, or light?

  • Did I notice any areas that still feel heavy or blocked? What might those areas need from me?

  • What guidance, insights, or messages came through—whether subtle or strong?

  • How do I feel about myself in this moment, compared to before the session?

  • What would support me most as I continue to integrate this healing?

  • What new intention or affirmation feels aligned for me moving forward?

  • What signs, synchronicities, or dreams do I want to keep track of in the coming days?
